Terms that make our website easier to find in search engines
PluSport generally uses terms such as «People with disabilities», «Athletes with visual impairments», «Persons with impairments», etc. However, certain analyses have shown that individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers, and other interested parties use search engines to enter questions such as «Can my disabled child participate in sport?», «Where can a blind person participate in sport?», «What types of leisure activities are available for disabled teenagers?», etc. In order to ensure such questions receive an effective response, terms such as «disabled», «deaf», «mentally disabled”, etc. may occasionally be used in website texts. Obviously, it is not the intention of PluSport to hurt the feelings of individuals with disabilities here. Instead, we seek to ensure that people can find our website using a variety of search engine keywords.
